“There’s a two-family model emerging in American life,” said W. Bradford Wilcox, director of the National Marriage Project and an associate professor of sociology at the University of Virginia. “The educated and affluent enjoy relatively strong, stable families. Everyone else is more likely to be consigned to unstable, unworkable ones.”
so the fact that ADULTS are CHOOSING to create alternatives, which obviously do benefit them (regardless of the reason), there is a problem?
fyi, conservative groups are supporters of GAY MARRIAGE! wonder why?
then we will go back to the reliance on prison labor- any type of violence exploitation of mostly black/brown bodies who have been convicted of non-violent crimes (i.e. alternative ways to survive when working at Wendy’s isn’t good enough…).
The real question is the fundamental discourse that allows us, as Americans, to believe that exploitative farm labor is appropriate for anyone to do?
